Your treats are vegan and do not include gluten or dairy. Why is this the case?

Suffering from a range of food intolerances, company founder Laura saw similarities in the symptoms her dog was suffering from. Further research confirmed Laura's theory - animals, particularly dogs, can develop food sensitivities. Symptoms may include: eczema, "hot spots", digestive concerns, joint pain, inflammation, unexplained weight changes and bad breath.

Like us humans; gluten, dairy and eggs are proven to be the main culprits. All of these food groups are not included in our treats. We, like many dog owners, love our furbabies and want the best for them. When providing our dogs with treats, we do not want them to suffer any ill-effects. Some common supermarket treats contain carcinogens and chemicals that are banned in Australia. Our products contain no nasties, preservatives or artificial flavours, added sugars or salt. All the ingredients on the packet are easy to understand - made by hand, using human-grade ingredients.

 

What is the difference between each treat variety?

When designing our range of dog treats, our aim was to relieve the symptoms of common health ailments. Each variety is targeted at the 6 most common health conditions:

  • Inflammation and joint pain
  • Anxiety and stress - separation anxiety, compulsive behaviours, nervousness
  • Digestive concerns - constipation, loose stools, noisy digestion and flatulence
  • Skin conditions - eczema, hot spots, hair loss
  • Bad breath
  • Weight-loss, diabetes and blood sugar regulation

Why does it take 3 days before my order is posted?

Our products contain no preservatives therefore they have a shorter shelf-life. We bake-to-order, meaning that once we receive your order we purchase fresh ingredients, bake, let the treats cool, package and then send to you via Express Post.

If you need your treats urgently, please contact us and we will try our best to assist.

 

What is the shelf-life of each treat?

As a general rule, each treat will last for approximately 2-3 weeks in an airtight container. Our packaging is airtight, so please ensure that bags are sealed correctly. Products will last up to 6 weeks in the fridge and for 3 months in the freezer.

My dog has food allergies. Are your treats suitable?

The entire Laura's Pawesome Treats range are free from ingredients that commonly cause issues for dogs - dairy, gluten, preservatives, artificial flavours, salt, sweeteners and nasties.

Similar to us humans, dogs are commonly affected by allergies and intolerances to certain foods. Some symptoms that your dog may experience include: eczema and skin concerns, high/low energy levels, behavioural issues and digestive concerns. We have excluded the most common culprits from our range. 

If you have any concerns about your your dog's health, please discuss these with your local vet.

 

What ingredients do you use?

All of our treats are made with human grade, gluten-free and dairy-free ingredients. Where possible, we source local vegetables and fruits from nearby markets. Each treat variety is targeted to relieve the symptoms of common dog-health concerns.

 

What are human-grade ingredients?

We only use human-grade ingredients in our treats. This means that they are safe for human consumption - we wouldn't want anything less for your furbaby! All ingredients are tested by their manufacturer to ensure they are up to scratch and meet Australian requirements. In simple terms - our treats are safe for you to eat too! They do smell especially delicious fresh out of the oven - I have had a few myself!!

 

I can see you offer gift wrapping. Can you post the present directly to the recipient?

Yes we are able to post the present directly to the recipient. Simply enter their address information in the delivery address field. We can even include a gift card on your behalf!

 

What markets do you have a stall at?

The list of markets that we attend does change. We keep our customers up-to-date via Facebook and Instagram with details of our upcoming markets. Please like our pages to have access to current information.

 

If I visit your market stall, can I pay by credit card or EFTPOS?

Yes you can! We accept payments by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and AMEX) and EFTPOS using our portable payment machine. You can also pay by cash.
